I still view what we are experiencing is the new arms race. Similar to the Cold War, Russia went bankrupt trying to keep up with the US military spending on nuclear arms. Who survives, and who lasts through this period may reap the fruit for decades to come.

Over the long term, FCF is far more important than 'reported earnings' IMO... Companies can and do manipulate accounting rules to produce an earnings # they're comfortable with, while FCF is much more difficult to fake. IMO... FCF > Earnings
