This month: I am expected to receive 2897.51$ in distributions. 1842.16$ will go towards Reinvesting into the portfolio and 1055.35$ will be used to supplement my income. Today, the first 2 distributions of the month have kicked in with $HBTE paying me 158.87$ and $HHIS paying me 510.31$. So I will be using both distributions (669.18$) to reinvest back into the portfolio. What did I buy? 550$ went back to $HBTE for the reason that they were the worst performing etf when I looked at the last 10 days in my portfolio. Today, it had a strong day, but they were beaten down last week. 69.18$ went to $EASY . This one had a rough start in my portfolio, but lately it has had some sort of comeback, not sure if it has to do with the new additions in $BIGY . The good news is that I will be receiving that extra distribution near the end of this month, so I do not need to wait for August to get the new income. Right now my strategy is to keep $EASY in my portfolio until my distributions not only cover my expenses, but I also have a buffer to reinvest my distributions....Once that is acheive, I will stop building this position and start increasing the exposure of my anchors like $HDIV$HYLD$EQCL and $SDAY .... while I will also grab some growth index funds which I do not have at this moment in the TFSA. Right now, my objective is to supplement my income to cover all my bases. 50$ in $CMCL . With metals and oil going down, this one was a no brainer, I will be DCA'ing all the way down if I have to....Just like $EASY , I will be getting the new income this month opposed to getting it in August like $HBTE . Previous July Distributions (before the buys): 2896.25$ My Total at a minimum for August will be after these buys: 2912.45$, an increase of 16.20$. I still have 1172.98$ left to reinvest in distributions this month, so my August income will definitely increase. One thing to note, $HBTE paid me as I said 158.87$....this will become 172.56$ if the distributions don't change for the month of August.
