Knowledge Transfer Series #38: TIME the Cycle 1of3
If you have been following the Knowledge Transfer Series, you know that my approach is to constantly step back, observe, and take immediate action on the information that moves the RIGHT stocks at the RIGHT TIME. While we develop a “toolkit” to handle any security in any market condition, our investment decisions are made within the context of TIME within the current real estate/banking crisis cycle (very few exceptions but that’s another post). Most everyone will tell you that you can’t TIME markets….when in fact, most all investors/traders are attempting to do just that. Buy low, sell high? Momentum? It’s laughable for anyone to argue against that. It’s just the interval of TIME that’s different that we are betting on - that’s all. 😁👍 Those that aren’t good at it, proclaim it can’t be done. Those that are good at it…….profit handsomely. Do NOT believe the Conventionalists that comment below. Just understand, they aren’t good at it, they never looked into/studied it, and/or they just regurgitate the message because some ultrawealthy individual or Investing for Dummies book told them so. 😂 Ok, got that out! So let’s start developing the skill of stepping back to know what to look at – and maybe more importantly – what NOT to look at – when identifying the phase of the cycle. The meltup phase is set to complete within the next 5-7 quarters. We are entering the 2nd stage of the meltup phase now. How do you know this @beskar_capital? ….. and what happens? More importantly, how do I position my portfolio for what’s to come? I’ve learned from the greatest investors/economists ever. And we start sharing that knowledge right now, right here! 💥 In the meltup phase of the cycle, real estate prices continue to ramp up. @mr.financial asked me a great question the other day about specific predictions on indicies or indicators. That is a common focus for Wall Street. There are two components to movement – direction and magnitude. The first step to learning to read the cycle is understanding there is a hierarchy between the two – direction >>> magnitude. Knowing how to identify directional inflection points is more important than understanding how high/low levels go (magnitude). …..CONTINUED in Knowledge Transfer Series #39
