https://www.techradar.com/pro/amd-abandons-hbm-for-inferior-lpddr5x-as-ai-monster-devours-precious-high-bandwidth-memory In my opinion, $NVDA saw the memory shortage coming pretty quick and aptly pivoted. I'm not sure what $AMD is thinking, but one of the main concerns that is going to be on the minds of large-scale customers and hyperscalers is going to be access to large amounts of memory, especially with the advent of AI agents. The new AMD is cutting bandwidth by 65% going from 840GB/s to 288GB/s, this compared to 22TB/s for Nvidia's Vera Rubin, a shocking difference of 76x more memory!
