8 months ago I out $AMD as my top buy since then it has gone up near 130%. But now it is definitely overpriced on this risky market. Me personally I am take some of my winnings just due to these crazy market conditions and going to rotate into other sectors like $SHOP and $CAKE as they have been very solid positions for me for a long time now? Opinions?

Best time to sell a stock like AMD, PANW, NVIDIA, PLTR, etc is when the revenue growth peaks. You can cross reference it, but other than the stock’s price, I wouldn’t sell it until we see the acceleration in the back half of this year. I’m sure that Mi450 is part of a lot of people’s thesis, I wouldn’t encourage cutting your blooming flowers too early. The Wall Street analyst consensus is also WAYY too low. AMD has stated a $1.4 trillion AI accelerator tam and $220 billion cpu tam in 2030. I’m a little bit skeptical, but let’s say they do 8% and 40% respectively in market share. That’s $200 billion in revenue right there, compared to the street’s $130 billion estimate for 2030. That doesn’t consider gaming segments (which should rebound considerably as RAM pricing eases and ps6 drops), embedded, etc. I think $200+ billion is doable, and I wouldn’t sell until Wall Street understands that. Q1 or q2 2027 is my target to trim AMD from 20% of my account to 5%, and diversify into software. Trimming is not a bad idea though. Cake is expensive, but expensive for a good reason now IMO. I own some at $45-55. Great company, but wouldn’t buy here. Yes, it’s expensive, but so was NVIDIA at $40, PANW at $160, PLTR at $20+, etc. I could be wrong though.

I've been buying since $129. Very overvalued and the earnings are not keeping up with it, but I'm holding until $1000/share or the next stock split.

I trimmed some (but) but won't sell more, also, I feel like $CAKE has run like crazy....wait for big pullback before buying imho. GL

I got some more AMD under 500 recently. AMD is my largest position and I have options and $AMDY as well 😉
