Social media can really mess with your idea of whatâs normal. Especially a finance app like Blossom. Spend enough time on Blossom and you start thinking everyone has $300K invested, gets 3k in divdiends every month, maxes their registered accounts every year and knows exactly what theyâre buying. I spoke to a 19yr old with 60k invested at Blossomcon in Vancouver...INCREDIBLE! Then you talk to people outside the finance bubble and realize⌠thatâs definitely not the norm đ If youâre here learning about money, investing and trying to improve your financial situation, give yourself some credit. Youâre already doing more than most people simply by caring about it. Donât let the people ahead of you make you forget how far youâve already come. Keep on investing everyone! Itâs important for people to realize that Blossom is the exception to the average person Lots of false humility that goes around on the platform, so itâs really important to remember how lucky everybody is to be investing and taking care of their finances at ANY age, not everyone is in that scenario

Absolutely true that the Blossom Community is completely detached from the real world. Anyone hanging out in this online community, including myself, is here by a self selected sampling bias made up of motivated investors who are either keen to learn, educate, emulate or plain show off with zero humility. Just the means to invest some surplus savings is a privilege that I am grateful for everyday. Often in the real world, a personâs big financial decision is âdo I pay the rent, utility bill or eat?â There is no spare capital to allocate and winning is falling less into debt. When I talk to friends who are fellow Seniors about how they can barely make ends meet while they use credit cards to bridge their grocery bills, it breaks my heart. That I remind myself is âthe real worldâ đđ˘ Itâs a privilege to be on a platform like this, and Iâm thankful for it everyday. Blossom is an interesting world, but certainly not where the majority of the people live. So please try and remember to be kind and grateful đĽ°. Cheers! đĽ

The numbers by StatsCan and CRA prove this out ⌠thatâs why in one of your previous posts I said youâre not the regular family Some people I talk to , they got burned by crypto and small caps then essentially swore off investing ⌠Even in the blossom crowd , you meet people at different points of the journey and at different levels of understanding Thatâs the part I donât know what is best , you want more people to learn at same time some people complaining too many new people with âbasicâ posts
