💵 CASH RESERVE 💵💵 CASH- How much should you have in your Cash Reserve, for market crash, red days, dip buys, puts. why do people post or hate on a stock or etf, is it becuase they have no cash to buy the dip to lower there cost or buy other opportunities. Seems like people with no cash have no patience, sell at a loss or get tied up. I believe if your top 5 holdings is cash and your able to put it to work and refill it, you are less stress. I try to keep 10% of my account in cash. I have a roth ira. I dont have enuff $ to also fund a taxable account lol im good with my roth ira & 457b with my job i cant put $ into another retirement account. My 457b being maxed out!? No way i cud do that, my roth ira thats more manageable 7500.00

The 10yr idea was from good advice like this: everyone talks about how the "average" down time for a pretty bad market dip is 2 to 3 years, but the reality is we do not begin our retirement in an "average" market, we begin at a specific time, and that specific time could be like 2000, when we had 10yrs of almost no growth...
