CLOSE: Dow record while tech got sold 👀
The S&P 500 printed a fresh all time high of 7,793.68 this morning and still finished slightly red. 📉
The Dow closed at a record 54,349, up 263 points (+0.49%), while the Nasdaq fell 0.83%.
That split is a rotation, not a selloff. AMD and SpaceX both got sold after earnings that were fine but not lofty enough, and the money moved into blue chips instead of leaving the market.
A record on one index and red on another reads to me like a handoff, not a top. I'm watching whether the bid comes back to tech tomorrow.
