I am looking to get into some etf for my portfolio for both Canadian and USA. some the ETF I looked are SCHD, VYM, VEA, XEQT, VDY, VEA. I would like to get suggestions/ advice if these are good or should I look into something else.

Hi there. For me I started with a little if everything. But after reading and learning I determined that all in ones like XEQT, ZEQT,VEQT FEQT area great place to start. There find generally have the diversification that you require. It gets your money working and avoids overlap depending on your goals. I think it’s important to read about each find to have a better understanding of what you’re investing in. You don’t need to be an expert but some base knowledge is importantly. Just keep in mind that the vast majority of folks on Blossom, such as my self are not financial advisors and are sharing experience. So don’t following blindly. Hope that helps

VEA is great if you want international exposure but only developed markets like Europe and Korea not China or South America. I prefer it over others. SCHD VYM only if you want dividend exposure
