Hello! Iām a beginner investor and was wondering if aside from SCHD if thereās any other high dividend etfs out there. And is creating a high divended focused portfolio a good idea? Or does it ruin the whole point of diversification? I appreciate any advice!

I donāt think having only dividend ETFs is the best idea. SCHD is a great choice, but Iād pair it with something like VTI or VOO too. Think of it like this: * VTI = helps your money grow over time. š * SCHD = pays you dividends while still growing. š° * SGOV = holds very short-term U.S. Treasury bills. Itās not for big growthāitās for keeping cash safe while still earning interest. š”ļø If you buy a bunch of dividend ETFs like SCHD, VYM, and HDV, they all own a lot of the same companies. Youāre not really getting much more diversificationāyouāre mostly buying the same stocks in different ETFs. Iād rather keep it simple: * VTI for growth š * SCHD for passive income š° * SGOV if you want a safe place for emergency savings or money youāre not ready to invest yet. š¦ Thatās just my opinion, but I think a simple portfolio is easier to stick with and understand. š

Schwab who does the SCHD also has SCHG etf for growth and they have almost no overlap itās 1 holding at 2%. Great pairing with SCHD and will target more price growth rather than dividend growth. DGRO and DGRW(fastest) have both grown dividends faster than SCHD and could be good if youāre looking for dividend etfs.

VOO 40% QQQM 25% SCHD 25% Go good together at your age. I toss in SPMO 10 % just to add some spice. Set it and forget it.. grab some individual Satellite stocks here and there for fun.
