I see often enough people asking about further diversity, then you look and see somthing like 90% $XEQT$VEQT ..... $VGRO$VBAL..... its like what!!!! In the case of xeqt and veqt, you own thousands of companies all over the globe. any more then that and it seem pretty inconsequential. for vbal and vgro, or xbal and xgro, you have all the above, and the total bond market again split up across the world.... that is a hell of alot of diversity, right? The only time I could think to add diversity to somone already implimenting an indexing strategy is probably the S&P or nasdaq people. $VFV$VOO$QQQ most people add diversity by adding $VTI..... thats still all american and carries the same country risk as the others, $VT adds some real diversity and in large part international exposure. once you have that total market strategy, what is really next? A house? fine art? NFT? $BTC? you really have to start sniffing at alternative asset classes because you already hold all the stocks. i guess my next logical move is pokemon cards.... rather that then fine art.
