Well, itās that time of year again. One year closer to the inevitable day my back fails on me while getting into a car (Iām only half kidding). If youāre a longtime follower, you already know that every year on my birthday, Iāve held a tradition here on Blossom called āthe reverse birthday gift.ā Which is essentially me giving anyone and everyone who follows me a free gift⦠on my own birthday. For year one, that gift was my free āHow to Calculate Fair Valueā PDF. For year two, I gave away my full detailed $MELI analysis: thejnicholas.substack.com/p/dont-sleep-on-mercadolibre-metaphor And for today, now year three, Iāll be giving away (drum roll) free e-book copies of my book, āHow to Analyze Stocksā! Some of you may already be familiar with my DCF spreadsheet that I made a year or two back (and my fair value PDF). I actually still use this DCF personally, and itās been available on my Buy Me A Coffee shop for free ever since. To make it easier this year, Iāll simply be adding a link to my Buy Me A Coffee, where you can download a free PDF of my book, right alongside that DCF, for free, here: buymeacoffee.com/jnicholas/extras If unfamiliar, this book is my full framework for how I personally research and analyze stocks (which took me about a year to finish) that I published last fall. Itās the first edition, so some of the content in the book is destined to evolve over time, but itās one of the proudest pieces of content Iāve ever published: A full step-by-step guide to analyzing stocks. (Hence the aptly named title.) Since I published the book last August, Iāve been giving away free copies of this book to college and university students, and anyone who couldnāt afford it (something Iāve vowed to always do). I also have it included as a paid perk for all my Substack paid subscribers, as a thank you for supporting me and my analysis work over there. So far this small offer has translated into 60 comps given away for my Substack, and well over 100 books given away. Which is honestly crazy to think about. Now, Iāve talked about it before and I donāt want to keep repeating the same line, but Itās been a rough start to the year for me. Not only family issues, but personal issues. And unfortunately nothing minor. I donāt feel comfortable getting into all the details on those issues today. Maybe I will in the future. But I did want to express my gratitude to everyone who read and engaged with my content throughout that time. To put it simply (and corny; apologies in advance): If the stock market is volatile, consider me and my life a triple-levered Nasdaq ETF. Or put differently; itās been a wild ride. A rollercoaster⦠a toaster with a coaster. So wholeheartedly, thank you all for sticking around. And I hope you enjoy this little gift of mine as a gesture of appreciation. If youāre ever interested in a physical copy of my book, youāre more than welcome to find a copy on Amazon (pinned post in my profile). And if youāre looking to read my detailed individual stock analysis work (now back and running), feel free to subscribe to my Substack: thejnicholas.substack.com That aside, download, save, and share this book around with friends and family. Heck, read it to your children as a bedtime story over the next couple nights. Whatever it is, I hope you find some value, spread the word, and enjoy your time reading! Thanks again, folks. Happy investing!
