Blossom is no longer a place for me to go for a good financial social media. To me, the platform has lost its original purpose. Iāve been making Blossom posts for over 2 years. In that time the platform has grown from less than 100k users to almost a million. Iām now at a point where Iām struggling to even want to use the app The spark of the platform to me has fizzled out, and thereās definitely not a lot of focus on user experience, not visually though but as an investor. In previous posts Iāve made like this, Iāve complained a lot about AI slop and bad quality, however I find it continues to get worse. As expected with any social media, the more people join, the lower the quality gets. The platform struggled with quality posts even 1-2 years ago, now I find most posts to lack any direction or useful information whatsoever. Blossom has now become a direct representation of the average investor, and thatās not a positive. I struggle to even make comments because most investors on here are too stubborn to have discussions about topics, nobodyās willing to change their opinion. Thereās a lack of quality engagement I also am getting tired of the feed. The following tab is the only way, yet quality creators end up slowly disappearing because they have no reason to keep posting. Blossom has lost a lot of its uniqueness as a platform, surprisingly I find more useful information on Reddit threads now. Thereās also little point of making content thatās valuable financial topics when the posts about āI hit 10kā is what gets 500 likes. Thatās life anywhere, however I think Blosson should set itself apart and actually REWARD quality. Iām tired of it not Once again Iām using and posting on this app so much less because it doesnāt give me the joy nor hope it once did. I find it hard to even help people when most seem to not want it. Thatās my rant, how are all of you feeling about the platform?
I'm struggling too. There aren't many experienced investors on the platform and even fewer who create content. I wasn't a content creator until a few months before joining blossom and can look at it from both perspectives. As a seasoned investor, I'm not looking for educational content per se, more of the ability to discuss and see different perspectives on investing topics and the application of principles. That has become a very difficult thing to do and only happens with a handful of investors in my experience. The amount of misinformation, disinformation and MALINFORMATION has become alarming, especially from content creators. It really muddies the feed and even the discussions. As a creator, I have made hundreds of posts for new investors, focusing on principles that can be applied at any time and any circumstance. They used to get a lot of engagement. Now they get buried in many AI slop posts in a day... I also, at the request of many, tackled very controversial topics that shouldn't be so controversial. Other creators on the platform have created a somewhat hostile social environment with a us vs them mentality. The simple, AI post gets much more engagement than a well thought, RESEARCHED post written by a human being. Socials have their place... There are also many negatives to social investing platforms. That being said, I've learnt more about investor psychology in the 4 years on blossom than on the 16 off of it. That I would say has been one of the big benefits of blossom for me personally... And meeting a handful of awesome people

Donāt disagree. Definitely a lot of content I see scrolling through the feed that makes the app less interesting. My hot take though is that if longer form more nuanced posts get less engagement thatās more about what people are interested in rather than what Blossom itself is doing. It also doesnāt help that most folks who write long-form arenāt posting as often. Because I really liked the discussion that came from those. Thatās a big reason I think too. Less longer posts, more shorter. So less quality discussion ultimately. And more geared toward day-to-day news and trading than investing. My only heavy concern long-term is AI slop. But Iām pretty sure the team is working on that. An āIs this AI?ā type feature would be awesome.

@ronan š. My main use now is portfolio tracking, DCA, some news, and some select peopleās opinions. Canāt argue with you at all.
