With global economy there is a thing which is $VXUS does better when multiple countries economy does better like South Korea , Europe and Brazil did exceptionally well, so there are 2 points you can invest in global index or emerging market etf which ever you link 2) USA companies already have global presence Ultimately it depends on your own perspective
