My Biggest Investing Regret
I don’t really talk about this much.
But transparency is kinda the whole point,my biggest investing regret?
Not starting sooner. 😭
I knew about investing when I was 20.
I understood the concept… more or less.
I even opened a Wealthsimple account.
And then, I did nothing with it for like almost 2 years, 💀
you know what I did instead?
I spent money on random stuff I dont even remember getting.
Clothes i dont wear anymore.
Nights out that i barely remember.
Subscriptions I forgot about completely.
Meanwhile compound interest was just sitting there
waiting for me like a patient mate i kept half ignoring. 😭
Here’s what those 2 years cost me 👇
If I had invested $200/month for those 24 months at 10%
i would have had an extra $5,000+ in my portfolio right now.
But its not only $5,000.
That $5,000 has 40 years to compound from here.
At 10%, that turns into $226,000.
I didnt just lose $5,000.
I lost $226,000 in future wealth, simply by doing nothing. 💀
Thats the real price of waiting.
Im not telling you this to make you feel bad.
Im telling you this so YOU dont end up doing the same thing.
Start before youre ready.
Start before you have a lot.
Start before you fully wrap your head around it.
