Dividend Investing vs Growth Investing One side says: βI want to get paid while I invest.β They invest in ETFs like $SCHD, $VDY, $DGRO, and $JEPI. The other side says: βI want the highest long term growth.β They invest in ETFs like $SCHG, $QQQ, and $VUG. Sometimes even just $VOO Both believe theyβre making the right choice. Which side are you on? Or do you think the best portfolio is a mix of both? π

I believe you should have both, I call it my Schwab bundle of SCHG and SCHB in the taxable account. SCHD and SCHY in my Roth.

I think itβs OK to do a bit of both. I broke my portfolio into three different brokerage accounts one focused on growth another one focused on dividends, but I picked dividend growing stocks. And my third is like speculative invest investment.
