Three and a half more months to continue contributing to my CC portfolio before moving onto building up my cash wedge as part of my early retirement plan. One important date along the way, October 8th my private equity funds liquidate and I’ll be contributing those dollars to the current portfolio. They’re held under the RRSP umbrella so I’m anticipating the monthly distributions of my RRSP to double. Two other factors to help me reach my end goal will be crypto recovery (potential distribution increases on a couple holdings along with potential sells for capital gain opportunities to redeploy) along with continued portfolio allocation rebalances in the name of distribution consistency/stability. My cash wedge investing will take 6 months so by the end of June 2027 I’ll know if I’m on track for retirement or if I’m still a little ways away. Either way the wedge will be in place for when that date happens. I’m thinking of a 50/30/20 ish split of my cash wedge into the following investments: 50% - Save Account (2.5% interest) 30% - $SPLT (6% yield) 20% - $CLSA (15% yield) More thinking to go into this % allocation, I think I’m set on the holdings and accounts.

You are choosing investments not a cash wedge! The name is implied as “cash” You can call a dog a cat but it’s still a dog. Real cash wedge attached.

Although I hear some comments here that the terminology you are using is not 100% aligned with what most folks or "specialists" call cash wedge, for me it makes absolutely sense what you are trying to accomplish. Looks to me that you are kind of aiming for some form of three bucket system: 1.Cash, 2. a bucket composed of more stable/secure investment (Non HISA / Bonds) and 3. your main portfolio to fund your retirement. Some folks may have their "own opinions" about your second bucket, but this is "your portfolio" and Blossom is platform for DIY investors... As someone that early retired earlier this year, IMHO it is wise. and as someone that does NOT like bonds, I have a somewhat similar 2nd bucket composed of more stable etfs.

What is your goal for monthly distribution from CC and cash wedge? What is the purpose for your cash wedge?
