It's official, my limit order just executed, and I now have a little over 50 shares of $NVDA. I've been trying to get to this number for the past year and a half. Yesterday, I was thinking: 50 shares is nice, but I should really start thinking more in terms of cost basis than share count. Right now, I have $4,325.89 invested in just Nvidia, but I would like to get to a $5,000 cost basis. regardless, I do also want to start focusing on other positions like $PLTR, $CRWV and $NVTS

Congrats on hitting 50! A year and a half of steady adding is real patience. I like the shift toward thinking in conviction rather than just share count.

What is the basis of the 5000$? Your cost basis’s will always increase in the long term if you keep adding shares, whether that increases by 20$ or 40$ for instance would be based on your strategy, do you buy the dip or lumsump buy the bear market when stocks fall -30%
