$AMZN just announced another major expansion of AWS infrastructure in Saudi Arabia. AWS says its first Saudi Arabia Cloud Region is on track to launch in December 2026, representing more than $5.3 billion in planned cloud infrastructure investment. At the same time, AWS and HUMAIN are expanding their AI partnership and plan to make up to 50 MW of capacity available in Saudi Arabia’s first AI Zone by 2028. That infrastructure will include AWS Trainium chips alongside the latest NVIDIA AI infrastructure for both AI training and inference. HUMAIN’s ALLAM Arabic LLM is also coming to Amazon Bedrock, while HUMAIN Fabric will be available through AWS Marketplace. AWS continues to pour billions into the infrastructure layer of AI while making Bedrock, its own silicon and its cloud ecosystem increasingly important pieces of how countries and enterprises actually deploy AI.
