Yesterday, I faced an unexpected issue… it turns out I owe $4,000 more than expected after filing my taxes. 20 years old rookie mistake not having an emergency fund 😅 I had to trim 8% of my portfolio. Fortunately, unlike Beevis suggested, my emergency plan wasn’t to sell the dip thanks to space stocks surging last week, but it could have happened. A year ago during the tariff selloff my portfolio crashed 70% (mainly due to $LUNR / $RKLB), so it would have been the worst moment for my portfolio’s growth. Glad that at least I was able to sell some stocks today near their all-time highs, but ideally, I wouldn’t have had to sell at all. Lesson learned. I’m now focusing on building an emergency fund. THANK YOU BEEVIS for the life-changing roast, I’ll now focus on an emergency fund 🙏 And shoutout to @maxstocks, @kartik, the dev team and @marcb for building Beevis 🙌

Beevis has been an excellent new feature for Blossom. Blossom just leveled up in the rankings of important investment apps. 🏆

I am also guilty of this, got a wake up call having a scare with my dog. Sometimes it take something to hammer the lesson home. All part of the game brother !

It doesn’t hurt to take profits , line of credit if you are pressed with no EF The key is you use investments to work for you , you don’t work for it or follow slavishly generalized rules

Don’t feel so bad coz I owe 4 times more than you. 🫣. I should have put some in an RRSP account. 🤷♀️
