Canadian analyst updates suggest a selectively positive outlook, with strong support for gold miners and generally favourable energy ratings despite mixed target revisions. Target cuts in retail, fleet management and transportation indicate more cautious valuation expectations, while telecom remains weak. Neutral ratings across real estate, software and service businesses suggest limited near-term conviction, with analysts favouring specific opportunities over broad market optimism.
