Chasing a dividend yield for a monthly distribution flex maybe enticing but rarely sustainable over a long period. Choose a reasonable dividend yield and allow it to chase you by the means of: ā¢appreciating assets receive dividend increases. ā¢Split shares receive a forward split increaseung your share count which means a higher yield. My current dividend yield is under 12% with a YOC above 15%. Donāt depreciate, appreciating assets increase their NAV over time while paying monthly distributions.
