Down 4% today, but sitting on 21% cash in SPAXX 📉💰
Took a -4.01% hit today as tech and semis pulled back across the board. When you're holding names like NVDA, PLTR, AMD, and MU alongside core anchors like VTI and VGT, red days like this are just part of the ride.
Here is how I handled cash and positioning this week:
What happened with cash this week:
Auto-pilot DCA: Kept my weekly $159 automated deposits rolling straight into core positions to keep accumulating on schedule.
Capital deployment: Worked through deploying part of my $30k cash injection into core index and growth targets to build out long-term base sizes.
Maintaining a buffer: Kept 21% sitting in SPAXX/cash. Holding that liquid yield gives me peace of mind and keeps dry powder ready when tech takes a sudden hit like today.
Looking ahead to next week:
Watching how Big Tech earnings shake out to see if the sell-off extends.
Looking for solid entry points to slowly put more of that 21% cash buffer to work if prices stay discounted.
Sticking strictly to the system—letting auto-DCA do the heavy lifting while reserving cash for deep red days.
