Finding Funds #5 — My Investment Bought Me a Share
Today was VTI dividend day, and this was a pretty cool milestone for me. Across my accounts, my VTI dividends added up to enough to buy one whole share of VTI. When I first started investing, I honestly didn’t pay much attention to dividends. They were usually small amounts and didn’t feel all that meaningful. But over time, those amounts have grown along with my investments. Today I was able to take those dividends and buy another full share without adding any new money from my paycheck. Sometimes your investments find the funds for you.

Congrats on the milestone! There is something really satisfying about watching your dividends buy a whole new share all on their own.

This is one of my goals with my dividends - grow it until it's a perpetual motion machine...then I start taking it to fund buying other dividend payers.
