Hi, Blossom. I’m Brandon. 30 years old. Co-founder of Blossom. My investing journey start at age 10 - something less than <1% of people out there get to say… shout out @MarcB I ended up getting my license as an investor advisor at age 20, worked for 4 years in the field. It blew my mind that the basics of investing/financial literacy I was learning was not discussed amongst my peer group, so 8 years ago I launched a YouTube channel… taking about bonds, investing accounts in Canada, compound interest, and all things investing. Fast forward to today… 1. I’m a proud father of 4-year-old, 1-year-old & 3 fur babies… 2. I’m heads down in growing Blossom ^ What’s so cool is that Blossom is ultimately an extension of the reason I started my YouTube channel 8 years ago if the first place… to help spread investing literacy to the everyday person - except in a bigger, better form with more impact. Recently… life has gotten busy. In fact, fun timing, attached a screenshot of yesterday’s schedule. A busier meeting day for sure, but a typical day for me starts at about 6:30am, home at 4pm to spend a few hours with the fam, quick evening gym/basketball. Followed by another couple hours of work before bed. Rip my sleep 💤 This new lifestyle called for an adaption in my investing approach. The time I used to allocate to researching stocks & keeping up with markets has naturally shifted in to building blossom + fam time, and that’s why my portfolio has shifted to 95% passive ETFs. I’m a huge huge huge fan of the all-in-one asset allocation solutions for that reason. Thank you all for reading and being here! Love seeing the other stories of the special community we have here.
