Rise & Grind, what a week to close out summer. Hot jobs flipped the mood: nonfarm payrolls came in at 162K vs the 53K expected, and suddenly Fed hike odds ripped to ~58%. On the week: Dow -0.3%, S&P 500 +0.1%, Nasdaq +0.4%, but Friday stung, with the Dow shedding 271.86 pts (-0.51%) to 53,414.25, the S&P -0.38% to 7,718.60, and the Nasdaq -0.29% to 26,506.99. $TSLA cratered -6% on a lukewarm Cybercab reveal, yet the S&P still sits ~1% under records, just ~78 points from a fresh all-time high. Up north, the TSX slipped to 36,513.80 (-0.33%) as Canada surprised with 41.7K jobs LOST vs +15K expected. Monday's Labor Day (markets closed), but the short week is loaded: $ORCL ($1.74 EPS / $19.13B rev) and $ADBE drop Thursday, $KR ($1.06 EPS / $34.61B) Friday, and August CPI lands Friday, with the Cleveland nowcast pointing at 3.38% headline. So what will move the tape more into the Sept 15-16 FOMC: a hot CPI print or $ORCL's cloud guide?
