🚨I’ve interviewed many ordinary people who have very ordinary investing strategies, but have extraordinary net worths. I’ve complied a list of things that they do to have massive wealth (as low as $1 million to the highest I’ve interviewed of about a $45 million net worth) when investing & in life: 1) Buy what you understand & know 2) Lump-Sum over DCA 3) Buy Large Cap ETFs or Large Cap Stocks 4) Avoid international ETFs/stocks or have a small portion to it (under 10%) 5) Have some exposure to Bitcoin or Gold (about 5-10%) 6) Invest in U.S. Broad Market ETFs 7) Have exposure to Growth ETFs 8) Technology sector is the best sector 9) Reinvest Dividends/Distributions automatically 10) Focus on total returns 11) Don’t Yield Chase too much without expecting some NAV Erosion 12) Have a well balanced life & take care of health/family 13) Choose experiences over material items 14) Double Down during market crashes/pullbacks 15) Always Learn & ask questions 16) Choose a strategy that fits your goals 17) Think Long-Term (decades) & not short term 18) Roth IRA is the move to max out first before anything else (make use of tax-advantaged accounts) 19) Do not day trade nor short the market nor buy penny stocks or meme stocks 20) Keep your portfolio diversified & simple to manage $VOO$SCHG$SCHD$QQQM$VFV$QQC$QQQI$SPYI$VTI$VXUS$BTGD

Well this is a reassuring list! All in line with what I do, except I DCA more often than lump sum. Thanks for sharing! 💯

Think a good portfolio structure would be 25% QQQI 25% BTCI and 50% VOO?

Preach 🙏🏻 Not many people ever mention lump-sum over DCA and I couldn’t agree more. Unless you’re an absolute beginner I think lump-sum investing is one of the main reasons why I have been able to amass a portfolio >$280k. The key is to have conviction on the purchase your making. Even if it’s just into a large cap etf like QQQ I find that maxing out my Roth at the beginning of every January rather than DCA has drastically enhanced my overall returns. When I did DCA I would see that almost every purchase was at a higher and higher price. When if I had just purchased everything at once I would have generated not just greater returns from the stock/etf but also in getting higher dividends to drip off the jump.
