A guaranteed loser! Why? Because holding this red stock for a long period of time and following your average cost down alongside with it ensures that you will catch the inevitable huge surge Nike will have without even having to think about it. Letβs be honest, we all know sooner or later itβs gonna happen. COVID killed the momentum of the worldβs largest clothing and shoe company. A Slight resurgence after that before things hit critical mass. They dealt with Tariffs. Loss of product innovation. Competition exploded. And their Direct-to-consumer strategy backfired. Nike took L after L after L. But Iβm willing to bet given the healthy balance sheet and billions in free cash flow generated each year that we will see a return of one of the strongest brands in global apparel. are you gonna get in before the hype? $NKE π

I've been slowly adding to my $NKE position, but I'm not comfortable saying there will be an "inevitable huge surge"... Why? It wasn't Covid that killed Nike's momentum, it was self-inflicted for all the reasons you listed... As competition increased, Nike was arrogant and assumed their market share was safe. So much so that they decided to focus on a direct-to-consumer model, which resulted in less shelf space at retailers. Factor in Nike's lack of innovation while the likes of Brooks, $DECK (Hoka), $ONON & many others brought new technology to the shoe space was a recipe for disaster. I'm hopeful the new CEO can get things headed in the right direction, but Nike's prior leadership regime opened the door for all this new competition and they're not going away. Add in U.S. brands getting shunned around the world for obvious reasons and management has yet another headwind to deal with. I'm buying tho', so I see hope... I don't EVER see the stock getting back to its prior $167 all-time high seen about 5 years ago tho'.

I bought about 300 usd of Nike about a month ago. It may not be the smartest move now but i genuinely believe with the new ceo they can lock in and thrive. Ride the ride boys, in 3-5 years from now weβll be up π₯
