Everyone says “you’re only young once, just enjoy your 20s,” and I get it but don’t forget it’s also SO IMPORTANT to invest for your future self. (dw I still buy overpriced coffee ☕️😉) It DOES NOT matter if you have $100, $1,000, or $10,000… just START. Everyone starts somewhere. 💯 I tell my family and friends this all the time… do they listen? not always 🤣 But if I can get 1/10 people to start investing than that’s a win. 😌 For most people starting out, ETFs are an easy way to get going. some people are great with individual stock portfolios. Me? I do a bit of both (but that’s because i already have a solid foundation). Starting early lets compound interest WORK! 💪📈 Even small contributions now grow way more over time than starting later. $50,000 over your lifetime? Doing this at 20 has far greater growth potential than starting at 30 or 40 (even with the same principle balance). My tips for beginners: 🌟Start small; even $50/week matters. 🌟Be consistent; don’t stress about timing the market. 🌟Invest in what you understand; ETFs or stocks, just know your stuff. My fav ETFs for beginners: $VFV and $XEQT 🤝 TRUST ME, your future self will thank you… and yes, you can still get your fancy, overpriced latte ☕️✌️ ps. I wish we had Blue Bottle in Canada 😭

If every young person can have your mindset! You are a star to start investing early! 😊👏 I wish I had invested as early as you when I was in my 20s. I'm in my 30s now and feeling a bit behind already. Keep growing your money and stay consistent. Ignore what other people say. Do what's best for you. Your future self will thank you for what you’re doing today! 😊

You can still have fun in your 20’s and invest! I would plan 1 trip a year. I would find the cheapest place to fly to ,at that time. I’d stay in hostels. Make my own food if I had to and adventure! You can even do roadtrips and camp out at parks to save on cost. There’s so much adventure you can do with minimal cost and proper planning

Well said - just start and try to get 10k invested asap . If a person started investing at 18 and just did 150.00 a month in a S&P 500 index ETF at age 65 they would have close to 1 Million dollar portfolio. Yes you are only young once , than you get married , have kids etc life is always going to happen , but if the foundations are built when your younger they carry through life . I am not a believer that you should sacrifice some vacations or experiences , just budget for them after you pay yourself first
