@bradleytalksmoney Making a post comparing the S&P $VOO to Risk free bonds $ILTB or somthing like it. Measuring stocks is not an easy feat. I enjoy Brads argument as well and i think the stock market is pretty over priced. However, at the same time as brad posting his argument The Plain Bagel posted a video that helps muddy the water on an already murky situation. I love trying to boil down a complex situations to 1 number. weather the S&P is over valued is anyones guess and we can allways beat the numbers till then tell us what we want to hear. https://youtu.be/0ZCVKL_PDsg?si=B_4wAJqq5ePUjT8w

Ok I saw his post maybe he unblocked me but he's right and what is moving the index is the heavily indebted tech companies that's pushing it up aka AI play. NASDAQ took over 15 years to recover from dot-com

Everyone turns to history when projecting future returns. They invest in the S&P because they expect a 10% or better return because that's what it's long term average has been. They ignore the history that would indicate that overpaying based on the S&P PE or the Shiller PE is a recipe for lower or negative returns for subsequent years.
