Thereās a quiet kind of luck in waking up where I do, watching the sun come up over Mount Baker from this small corner of Vancouver Island. Not lost on me that while I get this view and the freedom to build a life on my own terms, a lot of the world, closer to home in British Columbia and far beyond, is dealing with far heavier things. Just a reminder to myself: this isnāt something I fully earned. Itās something I get to appreciate.

What a spectacular view! Where is that Ian? Iāve not seen a view like that while in Vancouver. Beautiful. And I agree, weāve been lucky in Canada not to experienced the hardship of war, famine, calamity. We shouldnāt take it for granted.
