Market orders vs limit orders: two ways to place a trade. A market order buys or sells instantly at the best price available right now. It guarantees the trade goes through, but not the price โ in a fast move, you can pay more than you expected. A limit order only trades at your price or better. Setting a $210 limit to buy $AAPL means you never pay more than $210 โ but if the stock runs higher, your order just sits unfilled. For most beginners, limit orders are the safer default. Not financial advice.
