Market recap
Stocks tilted higher Monday. The S&P 500 rose about 0.7% to close near 7,774, while the Nasdaq Composite climbed roughly 1% to a new record around 27,465, as tech kept rolling on cooling Fed rate-hike bets after Friday's soft jobs report.
The Dow slipped about 0.2% to near 51,075, weighed down by the 10-year Treasury yield sitting near 5.3%, its highest since 2007.
The TSX ended slightly lower, dragged by energy stocks as oil prices eased. Big mover: PTC surged on a Schneider Electric buyout deal.
One to watch: Wednesday's Fed meeting minutes for clues on the next rate move. Not financial advice.
