Over the last 7-8 years I only wanted to buy safe & stable dividend stocks cause I had a huge goal π I knew I wanted to buy a condo within about five years, so I was super risk adverse and didnβt want ANY ups and downs in my portfolio. But it paid off because I was able to track my dividends, watch the numbers grow, and eventually buy my first condo at 23. Still very proud of that win.π In 2026, things are a bit different. I do not have any short term financial goals sitting right in front of me. I am 27, and I probably will not retire until I am 60-65. That gives me more than 30 years to let my investments grow and recover from the ups and downs that come with the market. So in 2026 my goal is to start buying more growth stocks. πThey come with more risk than I am used to, and that honestly used to scare me. I am getting more comfortable with it though, and I am excited to learn more, read more, and push myself a little outside my old comfort zone. π±π

That's great! I didn't start investing until I was 32 in 2005. So you're well ahead of me! You're too young to be scared. The payoff with growth CAN outweigh all the losses. The tricky part is finding which writers, analysts and fellow investors to trust. Developing an ability to spot and avoid crooks, devious salespeople and blowhards will go a long way too. God knows there are lots to avoid. π
