Someone asked me if I could share my Investment Rules that I mention in my Video interview with Moe. I can't find who posted the question and on which post. lol.... So I will just post my investment rules here as a new post. I mentioned in my interview that when i started my transition to my Derivative Based Passive Income portfolio, I decided to actually write down the rules I want to live by / or use as guidance. It sounds silly, but by writing them down - it helps reenforce and remind myself so I don't go on tangents without at least consciously think about it and if I need to change my rules or not. Of course over time - with learned experience - some rules have been slightly changed or even one has been removed. My Rule "never invest in single stocks" was removed since many of my single stock underlyinig ETFs might violate this rule yet I use them often now. So below is a clip from my spreadsheet of the rules I try to follow...

Can you hold US ETFs in your RRSP? I heard under US and Canada treaty you won’t get hit with 15% holdback tax. Is this true?

I've just started with high income ETF's. Have been trading options for quite some time and have a good tracking sheet for it. Still trying to figure out best way to track the dividend ETF's. Would love to see any templates folks are using.
