My Portfolio Is Boring AF… But My Returns Aren’t.
📈 My investment strategy is boring. And honestly, boring has been winning for me.
I don't chase the next hot stock. I don't try to predict the market. And I definitely don't feel the need to trade every day to build wealth.
Instead, I invest in ETFs like VFV and XEQT.
Why?
Because I've learned that building wealth doesn't have to be complicated.
📊 VFV gives me exposure to 500 of the largest publicly traded companies in the U.S. through the S&P 500.
🌎 XEQT gives me diversified exposure to thousands of companies across Canada, the U.S., and international markets.
Rather than trying to pick the next winning company, I'd rather own a piece of many of them.
My strategy is simple:
Invest consistently.
Keep my costs low.
Reinvest and let compounding do its work.
Stay invested through market ups and downs.
Think in decades, not days.
I've been investing for years, and one of the biggest lessons I've learned is that you don't need to be constantly doing something to make progress.
Sometimes the hardest part of investing is simply having the patience to do nothing.
No panic selling. No chasing hype. No trying to get rich overnight.
Just consistency, discipline, and time.
And watching my portfolio grow over the years has only reinforced why I believe in this approach.
Boring doesn't mean you're losing. Sometimes boring is exactly how you win. 🌱
Of course, ETFs still carry risk, and past returns don't guarantee future results. This is simply what's worked for me.
