At the beginning of the year, I made a change to my investing strategy going forward. I decided to stop buying individual stocks and started putting most of my contributions towards buying $XEQT regularly. Wealthsimple has made it very easy with automated trading every 2 weeks (I have weekly buys for other accounts as well) and it is pretty cool now to look back at my trade history. YTD I’ve accumulated 951 shares of XEQT and have about 40K invested. And I’ve been buying regardless of the price as well :) So, I’ll keep buying $XEQT (and some smaller ETFs) every paycheque and stay consistent. Wondering if you have moved away from individual stocks and how that has worked out for you?

I love the hybrid approach. 70% in ETFs and 30% in Individual Stocks. ETFs give me peaceful sleep and stocks give me thrill.

Nice! I also stopped buying stocks, sold a few positions to take profits and now buy $XEQT weekly regardless of the price.
