Obliterate The 9-5 With This One High Dividend ETF
If you could only have one high income ETF in your portfolio what would it be? For me I reveal exactly what that ETF is and give some context to the reasons why I’d only go with that. This ETF has been my longest serving holding. https://youtu.be/QFvlEWdMMAI?si=YAVwrdXBxoC1QUqe

Without watching the video I’d say a caution to the headline. Most successful people who use covered calls with positive outcomes in retirement don’t do it owning only one ETF. Several ETFs with yields under 15% would be the better bet Also before converting to that strategy & giving up your 9-5 you must first work to build a sizable account Just my opinion..

If I were to only choose 1, it'd probably be EQCL. An ETF, I'd long ignored, but am finding more and more appealing to serve as a potential core Income holding during retirement.

I purchased over 3 years ago and went through the Oct 2023 beating along with Apr 2025 tariff fiasco but did nothing but hold my position. This is by far my largest invested amount over $152,000 and you can see the results below! YOC 15.5% with appriciating assets and love $HYLD 2.0 Feb 2024. What’s a 9-5? FIRE life is much better!!!

So many to choose from if you have enough cash to work with a mid level distribution. GDV, HDIV, BMAX, HDIF, EQCL, CLSA, the all in ones in general. The beauty is that we don’t have to choose.
