Hi ! Short and sweet update this time. I’m still 100% invested in $XEQT within this RESP account for my three kids (ages 5,4,2) I was asked a question from a follower last week on whether or not I regretted moving from my 60:20:20 strategy with $XEQT : $QQC : $XUS , and the answer is no. The move to $XEQTsolves many problems for me at once: it’s a solid long-term position, it’s hands-off, the returns are great, and I do not need to monitor it as closely as other positions in my other accounts. I really wanna push again for folks who have been stalling on an RESP: go and open the account. Toss five dollars in every Monday. Start to collect that government grant, start that snowball rolling ! Even the biggest avalanche starts with a much smaller volume of snow taking a tumble! My total contributions are $11K. The $8,000 or so profit is boosted by the 20% CESG grant, divs, and cap gains. All of this grows tax deferred, making that CESG boost so epic over the long term.

Agreed, gotta get the ball rolling! Every Christmas or Bday whenever family asks what to get for the kids - I answer RESP contributions!

I was doing research and asking friends about RESP investment and found your post. I was confused between XEQT/VEQT do it by myself or do Managed Portfolio in Wealthsimple. I think I might buy $VEQT and DRIP under RESP for my baby born before month

Good job, Kyle. I was thinking about that $XEQT as well, but they are still babies. Am going to hold individual stocks for them till they get 5 years old.
