Highest monthly distributions in 8 months living off my RRIF. I have an entirely CC ETF portfolio ($425K) which is up about 18% at its peak. Each month I take a portion for living expenses and reinvest the rest, but that depends on the ‘sales’ that are available. I am currently focused on building a cash position so I can take advantage of new offerings or discounts so I can DCA. Every quarter I review overall performance to ensure my portfolio is sustainable and performant. YTD my portfolio is ahead of the TSX, S&P and NASDAQ. Yes, I will see some reductions in September due to $BIGY$MSTE and $EASY, but not worried, as I continue to reinvest in less volatile, foundational positions in broader index CC ETFS. I am 58, retired last year. I live off my RRIF, I am not yet drawing my CPP.
