BIGY was my only CAD holding in my RRSP. I decided to sell it so I could use Norbert’s Gambit to switch it to USD. Wealthsimple now offers this. You buy DLR. They charge 9.95 plus tax to Journal your shares - which converts them to DLR.U - USD. When I checked Currency XE rates - it was very close. If I had just converted my currencies I would have paid 1.5% to do it. It’s still in process but should be settled in 2 days. Then I’ll sell DLR.U to top up my QDTE!! Love my USD dividends!!
