How ironic that Warren Buffett..... the man who got his fame on Wall Street by buying individual stocks .... is on a post recommending against it! 😂 🤣 Individual stocks can crush the S&P500 if you know what to do. 👍

Here come all the comments claiming they beat the S&P 500 during the easiest bull market in recent history completely missing the point.. Roughly 5-7% of active portfolio managers outperform the S&P 500 over 20 years. Y’all have some serious egos if you believe your any different then an institutional portfolio manager who does this for a living and still underperforms the broad based index over decades. Don’t let short-term gamblers luck fuel your self-serving bias.

Single stocks should only be satellite positions. The core should be sp500 or total market with some international for that just in case moment. That’s just my opinion 🤷🏽♂️
