Markets are sending a clear signal on Canada. USD/CAD just hit ~1.43 — the weakest the loonie has been in over a year (near April 2025 lows). What’s pricing this in: - Persistent rate differential (Fed still seen as more hawkish vs. a dovish-leaning BoC) - Softening oil prices hitting the commodity-linked currency - Ongoing US-Canada trade tensions and tariff uncertainty - Safe-haven bid into the USD amid geopolitics Result: Canadian purchasing power for US goods, travel, and foreign investments is taking a hit. Markets are effectively marking down the near-term Canadian growth and policy outlook relative to the US. The chart doesn’t lie. @talukder9712

In simple terms, Canada is cooked . That’s why my investments are mostly in USD

Very concerning. Don't forget the runway federal deficits and M2 supply.

That’s what happens when there is an illusion of trade, prosperity and the reduction of policies and regulations but nothing is actually done. We’re sadly walking into the results but (cue up monotone computer voice…) “Everything is A - ok 👌”.
