I'd rather have $2 million in my portfolio rather than living in a $2 million house with no investments. A $2M house might look nice on the outside, but it doesn’t pay the bills, fund my lifestyle, or give me options. A $2M portfolio on the other hand: Grows over time Spits out passive income Gives me flexibility and security Lets me sleep at night knowing I’m financially free The general public will disagree but Blossom community might agree? haha

BOTH! A larger house that includes a rental suite to pay your property tax, insurance & utilities & A decent sized portfolio which you can eventually live off When asked what you want in the future we can all aim for BOTH

💡 Simple math, big difference: Option A – $2M invested @ 20%: ~$33K/month coming in → pay $4K rent for a great place → still pocket ~$29K every month while your $2M keeps working. Option B – $2M house, 20% down, 4% mortgage: mortgage + tax + upkeep ≈ $12K/month going out — and your cash isn’t compounding. ⚖️ So it’s either getting paid $29K/month to live wherever you want… or paying $12K/month to live in one place. Your call 🤷♂️💸🏡

If you got HELOC on that house , you can have the portfolio too... If you live in Vancouver , that 2M is a nice shed with water and electricity

I agree! My wife wants me to sell some investments and pay off my mortgage ($156,000), but I can make 3x my mortgage payments with that money!
