Ill break down my plan for the emergency fund. My wife and I spend $4000 a month. 4x6= 24. We need $24,000 to cover 6 months of expenses. Im going to school and my wife wants that covered beyond the usual emergency fund. School is 2 months so anther $8000 now we are up to 32,000. But, we need a new car soon (next year).... add another $10000 to that. Next year and the last of this year my wife and I will just be saving for savings sake. THATS BORING!!!! But its the way its gotta be. I think I would be ok with less emergency, "I" am not "we". My wife and I have to do what is best for eachother too. Its not just my sleep. its my wifes too. If she doesn't sleep well, I won't either.

This is a great post, saving is very boring but very powerful. I think back to the time my husband was laid off while I was a full-time student working part time making minimum wages.....and yes the peace of mind is absolutely worth it in the event that shit hits the fan! Life tends to not go according to plan.

I feel you. If it weren’t for my wife, I would’ve started my YouTube channel AndyPii 3 years ago filming myself on camera. But since she doesn’t want my face all over the Internet to protect our privacy…well, you know what they say : happy wife happy life. 🤷🏻♂️ now I just started and I use AI tools that are less expensive than a divorce. 🤣😂
