The cornerstone of so many Canadian portfolios, $VFV officially hit a brand new all-time high of $196.10. If you’ve been dollar-cost averaging into this fund over the last few years, then you have been seeing some beautiful gains. What's driving the price? Massive U.S. large-cap/tech earnings: The actual stock market performance of the giant companies inside the S&P 500. A stronger U.S. dollar (USD): Because VFV is unhedged, when the USD gains value against the Canadian dollar (CAD), it automatically boosts the fund's price for Canadian investors. As always, I continue to invest weekly and don't ever plan on stopping.

A lot of these gains have really just been the CAD losing value over the past month, once it recovers VFV will lose much of its gains
