I hold Xeqt in our kids resp our rrsp and in tsfa . It’s easier to use and maintain however I’ve been debating changing the rrsp to a different etf. What do you hold for ETFs ?

If you are building from scratch, then indexing is definitely the way to go. But when I'm already full up on large caps and am looking to go aggressive, I have been buying gold mining ETFs because gold producers have been completely awash in cash at today's gold prices. They're paying off debt, investing in mine development and buying back shares. I have been accumulating XMA, DXAU and as far as CCs are concerned, also AMAX and GLCC. Oil is another interesting play, but we have to be careful. The world is awash in oil and it should be cheap under normal circumstances. The only reason why oil is heading to the moon is geopolitics. A US war with Iran and the houthis, a special military operation in Ukraine by Russia, sanctions, tariff wars, bombing and killing, that's all that is driving up oil. A bet on oil is basically a bet on war and death, so you have to watch this very closely.

I've only held XEQT or CAGE up to this point. One All-in-One is great!

I hold ZEQT as a core, satelliting QQC, TECI and VDY. Though, I'm also playing with the idea of shifting some single stocks out and going almost all ETFs and adding VIDY for a Growth/Dividend kind of balance.
