The Fear & Greed Index — which is essentially a measure of how investors feel about the state of the stock market — has slid deeper in the “Fear” zone than we’ve seen in quite a while. With share prices continuing to move lower across the board, that fear can end up feeding on itself. As prices continue dropping, those feelings intensify, which can push prices even further south — creating a bit of a vicious cycle. If you’re relatively new to the stock market and you’ve been feeling that fear lately, let me share a couple things: 1 - It will all be okay. The market moves in cycles — sometimes prices go up, sometimes they go down. But over long periods of time, assuming you’re thinking in decades (which you should be), it always works itself out. 2 - Times like this are an important reminder not to think of stocks only as things that randomly go up and down every day. It’s easy to forget that a share of stock represents ownership in a living, breathing business. I’d encourage you to focus more on the business and its operations than on what the share price is doing any given day. Remember this too: At the end of the day, you’re a shareholder, not a shareflipper. These periods of volatility actually create great opportunities to buy more shares of awesome businesses at more favorable prices (and with higher yields if they pay a dividend). If you plan on holding your shares for a long time, take advantage of the moment! With that said, how are you feeling about the market right now? Share your thoughts in the comments below! 👇

Jk…It was nice seeing all the green days this year. It’s been rough for the last couple weeks for all sectors especially tech (still bullish) I have to remind myself to stick to the fundamentals and just keep buying.

Pretty passive, not really bothered...actually taking this time to see which holdings are stronger and more resilient during down times... similar to the drop we had in the Spring... 💯
