Why Canadian Utility ETFs Keep Falling

There’s seems to be an uptick in the chatter around utility plays lately so here is at least in part one reason for the most recent decline. I look under the hood of the holdings inside UTES which has many similar companies to UMAX to get the full Story.

Good time to buy for sure.
I’m accumulating.
When UTES is at all time high, people regret not buying when it’s cheaper in Apr/May 2025.
Now they don’t wanna buy.. 😂

Typically they act as bond proxies & with rising rates, money is moving to follow the higher bond rates.
