This is the second thing that I hear all the time. The one I don't agree with. I heard it with $PLTR in 2023. I heard it with $NVDA in 2022. I heard it with $AMD in 2024. NOTHING IS BAKED IN. I mean if we're talking about a week-long time frame and earnings are coming up, maybe you could say it's baked in. But I've seen people be wrong so many times. This isn't a bakery, very few things are actually "bAkEd iN". No one has any idea if a stock is going to up, down or sideways. Stocks surprise me all the time, and usually it's when I'm buying right before a run and people are always telling me it's already priced in, it's already baked in. I hear it right before Nvidia earnings. If I would have listened to those people, I never would have made any money. Have a great weekend everyone.

I admit I've fallen into this trap before and called things "baked in". That dividend cut was certainly not "baked in" for $T recently! :-D

Just because they were wrong, doesn’t mean the argument was wrong. With individual companies, sometimes the evaluations can be outrageous but the company performs so well that the stock still rises. I bought Pltr for about $25, when they shot up to $100 I was certain they were overvalued based on the earnings at the time, so I sold around 30% of my holdings. I think many also said the P/E was insane. Then the next earnings came and they crushed it, not much time passed and they jumped to $200. For most of us there are big assumptions. Earnings reports give us some helpful information but there is a lot of speculation between earnings.

Did you see that NVDA went from 217.55 to 230.36 this week?!
